What is the definition of ‘Ford’ and why is it important?
Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) recently released a new set of specs that define how a modern vehicle should be made.
The company claims that these new specifications are designed to help the world’s cars compete with the new “gig economy” that’s taking place, as the global economy is expected to be worth $1 trillion by 2021.
But is this a good thing?
And, if so, should the company be concerned?
Let’s break down the new specs and the potential benefits.
First, let’s look at the new set-up for Ford.
Ford is looking to improve upon its already-successful engine lineup.
In particular, the company is targeting the 2019 Ford Fusion.
The new Fusion, which is expected in the US market sometime in 2020, will feature an all-new, supercharged V6 engine that will generate up to 590 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque.
The company says the new engine will be able to reach 60 miles per hour from a standstill, and it will be capable of achieving a top speed of 155 mph.
That will give the new Fusion a good range, especially when it comes to urban driving, as well as the ability to reach speeds of up to 100 mph in city driving conditions.
The Fusion will also have a fuel economy rating of 29 mpg, which will help it compete with both the Ford F-150 pickup and the Nissan Leaf crossover.
Ford says that the new generation of Fusion is expected on-sale in 2020.
For the most part, the new Ford Fusion will be powered by the latest iteration of the V6 that has been tuned to provide more torque, but also to deliver more efficiency.
The engine is said to feature a maximum torque of 1,600 pounds-feet, and the new engines will also feature a new low-emission version that will come with a reduction in engine noise.
It will also be able hit up to 62 mph in the city, which, while not a world-beating number, is very respectable.
Ford will offer the new version of the Fusion with a range of up a total of 250 miles.
While it will come in the F-series (for the 2020 model year) and F-SE (for later models), the new 2019 Fusion will come to the new-generation Ford Transit, which can be purchased with the standard 5-passenger package, or the 8-pass-port package.
To keep things simple, Ford will also offer the Ford Transit with the 6.7-liter V8 engine and a new 3.8-liter turbocharged V-6.
Ford will also introduce a “PowerShift” option that will allow customers to tune their Fusion’s engine to their liking.
For instance, customers can opt for the 5-speed automatic transmission, which provides more torque at lower rpm and more power at higher revs.
At the top of the line, the 2019 Fusion is said the engine will come equipped with a turbocharger that will boost power from an already-amazing 2,200 pounds-tons to 3,200 pound-tons of peak torque.
The Turbocharged engine will also come with new, high-pressure injectors, which are designed specifically for the V-8 engine.
This new engine makes the Fusion the most powerful car on the market today, but it also makes it the most fuel-efficient.
This is a huge deal, and you’ll need to drive this vehicle to get the full benefit.
Finally, the car will also include a range-extending electric motor that will deliver about 30 miles per charge in cities, and a range that’s closer to the average range of a hybrid vehicle.
The battery pack, which Ford says will be in the 4,200- to 5,000-pound-pound range, will be a new, advanced type of lithium ion battery that will last more than 10 years, according to Ford.
All in all, the Fusion will offer an impressive package that will make it one of the best vehicles in the world, and its pricing is a good value.
